I traveled to Cambodia July 2006 and was introduced to Tabitha-Cambodia, a non-profit organization working with Cambodians poor to create improved living conditions as well as income opportunities.

I went with my two sisters and mother. Our group leader of our house building adventure, was Margret . She has done so much with Tabitha, traveling once a year to lead a building group and started the US based Pillows for Peace, for US tax deductable donations.

The cottage industries of handwoven silk is one form of income in the villages. Tabitha also employes women in Phnom Penh to sew the silk into wonderful products. These woman may have had no source of income before working with Tabitha.

My main goal in July was to teach the sewers how to make window treatments to go with their bedding line. I brought patterns and samples for ready made styles. They reproduced them in days. We are currently working on getting pricing and availablity of these new products.

I wanted to help bring these products to the US market, so I began Pandion Associates in 2007.
